  1. A teenager is facing multiple charges, police said they found drugs and an AR-15-style rifle in his car. The incident happened in the 8400 block of North Mulberry Street. The teenager has been taken to the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center. (Tampa Patch)
  2. Harvest Fest is coming to Meacham Urban Farm on Sunday, Oct. 1 from noon to 6 p.m. The farm is located at 1108 E Scott St. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, a pig roast (with vegan options as well), petting zoo, photo opportunities, and more. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  3. Locals at Anna Maria Island in Manatee County recently captured a bioluminescent algae bloom. Astrophotographer Tammy Fryer shared a photo of the bloom to Facebook. She called it "breathtakingly beautiful." (WFLA)
  4. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has opened a new location in Lutz at 25195 State Road 54. The local shop is owned by local entrepreneurs Chris and Jillian Bruckner. The coffee shop offers a variety of lattes, cold brew and tea, as well as Hawaiian-inspired food. (Tampa Patch)
  5. Pasco County School Board approved a $1.99 billion budget on Monday. The board voted for the budget unanimously. The change will cost homeowners more than a year ago. Some residents are concerned about the increase in fees. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)
