Hillsborough County School Calendar: Must-Know Winter 2016-17 Dates
When does holiday break start in Hillsborough County? We've got that date and others you need to know about this winter.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County School kids have barely gotten back into the groove after the Thanksgiving break, but that doesn’t mean they’re not already itching for more time off. They’ll get it soon courtesy of the upcoming winter break.
To help parents keep track of the holiday break and all those other important upcoming school dates, Patch rounded up those folks need to know about this winter. Here are the dates Hillsborough County parents might want to jot down in their calendars:
- End of the second grading period – Dec. 16
- Winter break – Dec. 19, 2016 – Jan. 2, 2017. (Jan. 2 is a non-student day)
- Kids return to school – Jan. 3
- Florida State Fair Day for West Hillsborough County schools – Feb. 10
- Presidents Day holiday (No school) – Feb. 20
- Strawberry Festival Day for Area 6 schools only – March 6
