Hillsborough Firefighters Prevent Spread Of Fire At Tampa Storage Unit

TAMPA, FL — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battled a fire at a storage unit Monday morning at 815 E. Fletcher Avenue in Tampa.

Firefighters received a call at 6:18 a.m. and arrived to find smoke and fire at the far end of a row of storage buildings. Crews quickly pulled a handline, initiating an aggressive attack.

The quick action of firefighters limited the fire to four units and controlled the blaze in under 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
