- A 34-year-old Tampa man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for possessing a gun as a felon after crashing into a bicyclist with his moped. The felon had 26 prior state felony convictions. The felon pleaded guilty on Nov. 1 to the charges. (Tampa Patch)
- The University of South Florida (USF) School of Music has launched two, 10-week courses for free as a part of its USF Community Music Project. The courses will be taught by Allyssa Jones, who is the director of Vocal Ensembles. The project aims to "offer equitable and inclusive music making and learner-centered arts experiences." (USF News)
- Duckweed grocery store is now open on Davis Island, according to a post on Instagram. The store is located at 302 E. Davis Blvd. The Davis Island will host The Boozy Pig, a famous South Tampa butcher and sandwich shop, inside its grocery store. (That's So Tampa)
- Tampa doughnut shop "Hole In One Donuts" has been ranked No. 34 on Yelp's list of the Top 100 doughnuts in the U.S.A. The dessert concept currently has seven different locations spread around the city. The Tampa location is at 14406 N. Florida Ave. and open from Tuesday to Sunday. (WFLA)
- Tampa business leader Tony Braswell, who is the president and founder of Gale Healthcare Solutions, has made the 2023 Staffing 100 North America. The list is a ranking of the top leaders in the country in the staffing industry. (Tampa Patch)
