“The felony charges are subject to enhanced penalties due to the nature of the content, which involved children under the age of five and depicted explicit abuse,” the agency said.
Further investigation showed that Farber also took inappropriate photos and videos of himself in operating rooms and patient care areas at the hospital, HCSO said. He shared these images on social media.

Farber, who was arrested Tuesday, faces 79 felony counts related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
“This arrest is both disturbing and appalling,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “The exploitation of innocent children is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. And to learn this suspect had access to vulnerable individuals while employed in a health care setting makes his actions even more reprehensible. We will ensure he is held fully accountable under the law.”
