Inkwood Books to Host Best-Selling Author Khaled Hosseini
The author will be at the Tampa Theatre June 18.

The author of the best-selling book, The Kite Runner, will make an appearance in Tampa June 18.
Inkwood Books in South Tampa will host author Khaled Hosseini for a book talk and signing of his much anticipated novel, And The Mountains Echoed, which was released May 21.
The event will take place at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa, Tuesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. Rob Lorei of WMNF Radio will serve as moderator.

Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1965, the son of a diplomat and a teacher. He wrote his first novel, The Kite Runner, written in 2001 while he was still a medical student. Two years later the book, published by Riverhead, became an international bestseller as well as a beloved classic.
In 2007, his second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns, debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. In 2006, Hosseini was named a Goodwill Envoy to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency.
