Lightning To Host 3rd Annual Bolts Family Carnival

The event features the entire Tampa Bay Lightning team, coaching staff, alumni and media personalities.

TAMPA, FL – For the third straight year, the Tampa Bay Lightning invite their fans to Amalie Arena for an afternoon of family fun.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will host the Bolts Family Carnival on Sunday, March 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the arena, located at 301 Channelside Drive in downtown Tampa. The carnival will give fans a chance to meet the entire Tampa Bay Lightning team, the coaching staff, alumni players and their radio and television personalities.

Tickets to the Bolts Family Carnival are $40 per person and $20 for children 12 and younger. Season Ticket Members can purchase tickets for $35 per person before the event.

All proceeds from the Bolts Family Carnival, sponsored by DEX Imaging and Shiners Hospitals for Children, will benefit the Lightning Foundation, which distributes money and services to hundreds of non-profit organizations across the Tampa Bay area.

The Lightning members will be in rotation throughout the 40-plus different carnival game and activity stations throughout Amalie Arena during the event. Activities under the Big Top will include traditional carnival games like dunk tank, skee ball, balloon darts, high striker, bowler roller and bottle toss, along with more contemporary games like ping pong, Wii and box hockey.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to take a tour of the Tampa Bay Lightning locker room and challenge themselves in the Bolts Rooking Combine, which features some of the same physical testing the players do. Fans can also visit with former Lightning greats in Alumni Alley and learn about the science of ice.

Parking is available in the silver, blue, green, brown and teal lots for $5. Entry to the carnival will be through Ford Thunder Alley.
