1. Tampa residents and business owners will have a chance to respond to a proposal to tone down the city's existing noise ordinance. The next public information meeting for the ordinance will be on Tuesday, March 15th at 6:00 p.m. Owners of bars and small businesses in Ybor City are fighting the proposal as trying to subdue nightlife businesses that were there long before residential developments entered the historic district. 2. University of South Florida anthropologists have found 45 new unmarked cemeteries and burial sites in Hillsborough County and they are not just African American burial grounds, but several minority groups as well including AfroCuban, “mulatto," and Chinese graves. (ABC Action News)
3. Boston-based Lord Hobo Brewing Company is opening its flagship Florida brewery location in Tampa Heights at 2304 North Florida Avenue. Lord Hobo plans for the location to have an outdoor biergarten, kid-friendly recreation area, and rooftop bar. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
4. The Batmobile is set to arrive in the Tampa for Rides by the River at Armature Works on Saturday, February 19th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature costumes on display for The Batman, Catwoman, The Riddler and The Penguin. There will be photo opportunities and giveaways. The Buddy Brew and Craving Donuts food trucks will be on-site for the event as well. (That's So Tampa)
5. Lakeland-based Publix has dropped its mask requirements for fully vaccinated associates, citing the decrease in COVID-19 cases and a wide availability of vaccines. Publix said all pharmacy associates, regardless of vaccination status, are still required to wear face coverings when administering vaccines. (WFLA)

- In honor of Black History Month, the City of Tampa is highlighting Aria Ray Green, who became the first African-American Fire Chief for Tampa Fire Rescue in 2004. Aria served 25 years with the department in various positions and was one of the founding members of Tampa Fire Rescue's Tactical Medical Response Team. (Facebook)
- March registration is now open for City of Tampa's composting pilot program. Single-family residential customers with a yard can sign up to complete a required virtual workshop and receive a free bin. Space is limited. More classes will open each month. (Facebook)
- Local TV reporter Kelly Ring of Fox 13 has announced her retirement after 38 years on the airwaves. Her last day on the air will be May 25th. (Fox 13 Tampa)
