Man In 20s Killed, Women In 70s Injured In Shooting At Tampa Apartment
The sheriff's office has charged a 25-year-old man with the shooting death of a man he got into an argument with at a Tampa apartment.
TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has charged a 25-year-old man with the shooting death of another man he got into an argument with at The Palm at Sand Lake apartments, 1302 Cooperstown Court in northwest Tampa.
On Wednesday at 7:25 p.m., sheriff's deputies received a report of shots fired at the apartment complex and discovered there had been a fight between two men inside an apartment that escalated into gunfire.
A man in his 20s was rushed to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A woman in her 70s in an adjacent apartment was taken to AdventHealth Tampa after a bullet struck her foot.

After conducting interviews and collecting evidence, deputies arrested Dewayne Gallishaw Jr. of Marsh Harbor Place and charged him with first-degree murder with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and attempted first-degree murder.
"There is never a reason for an argument to turn deadly," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Now that this suspect is in custody, this case can go through the judicial system. The perpetrator now faces the consequences of his despicable actions. We hope this will bring some sense of closure and healing for the victim's family."

Gallishaw Jr. is being held at the Falkenburg Road Jail without bail.
