Man, 68, Had ‘Unlawful Sex’ With Teen: Deputies

TAMPA, FL — A 68-year-old Tampa man faces 21 criminal charges after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say he engaged in a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

According to the agency, Charles Wayne Logan “engaged in multiple sexual encounters with the 17-year-old victim, which were all consensual.” The encounters allegedly occurred between June and July of this year, an email from the agency said.

Deputies were notified of the alleged affair by the girl’s parent. Authorities say the victim, who is not being identified, met Logan in December 2016.

“The relationship started as friends, but over time developed into a consensual sexual relationship,” the email said.

Logan was arrested on 21 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor on Tuesday, Aug. 15. He remained in the Hillsborough County Jail Wednesday morning in lieu of $157,500 bond, jail records show.
