Man Crashes Into South Tampa School; Charged With DUI

TAMPA, FL — A 25-year-old Tampa man has been arrested after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into the side of the Seaborn Day School, 4101 W Estrella St., Tampa.

According to Tampa police, Alex Michael Rodriguez was driving toward the intersection of Estrella Street and Henderson Boulevard Monday when he lcrashed into the school and then fled the scene on foot.

He was apprehended a short time later and charged with DUI and felon in possession of a firearm.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
