Man Gunned Down On Tampa Street ID'd

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting that left a man dead.

According to the agency, the shooting occurred around 12:40 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 100 block of East Adalee Street. Authorities say several young men encountered the victim on the street or sidewalk and an altercation broke out. The man, who has been identified as Curtis O. Cunningham Jr, 33, was shot and died from his injuries.

“Detectives are looking for several young men who are believed to have been involved,” an email from the police department said. “The nature of the relationships and the motive for the shooting are unclear at this time.”

No further information is available, including details about the suspects.
