HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 29-year-old Riverview man was speeding when he was killed in a single-vehicle crash on an entrance ramp to Interstate 75 on Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

He was heading west along the westbound lanes of Fowler Avenue leading to northbound I-75 at the time of the crash around 7 a.m.

He was speeding when he lost control of his car, which left the road, overturned several times, and hit a tree, FHP said.

The driver was thrown from the car as it overturned and he suffered fatal injuries at the scene, FHP said.
