Man Robbed Multiple Gas Stations At Gunpoint: Hillsborough Sheriff
A man accused of robbing gas stations at gunpoint was identified by the rental car he used to commit the crimes, Hillsborough sheriff said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A man faces multiple charges related to multiple armed robberies of several gas stations in Hillsborough County.
Ian Charles Gasperson, 29 is accused of robbing the gas stations at gunpoint and driving a rental car while committing the crimes, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies responded to multiple calls reporting the robberies on Saturday.

Detectives identified the vehicle linked to the crimes and learned that the car was a rental.
Information from the rental company identified Gasperson as the person who rented the car, the sheriff’s office said.

An acquaintance of Gasperson reviewed surveillance footage from the robberies and identified him as the suspect in all three incidents.
He was arrested Sunday and taken into custody without incident.

- two counts of possession of a controlled substance
