THONOTOSASSA, FL — A man was shot to death Wednesday night at a Circle K in Thonotosassa, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.

The fatal shooting happened just after 8:30 p.m. at the gas station, which is located at 11755 County Road 579.

When deputies responded to the store for reports of a shooting, they found the man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
