  1. An oil spill in Manatee County brought the response of emergency crews this past weekend as thousands of gallons of crude oil and water fell into the ocean. An investigation is underway by authorities into the cause of the incident. The clean-up effort continues. (Tampa Patch)
  2. A deadly shooting occurred after a dispute early Monday morning outside Playhouse Gentleman's Club in Tampa, according to deputies. Officials said the club was closed when the incident occurred. The victim died at St. Joseph's Hospital. (Fox 13 Tampa)
  3. Pasco and Hernando counties were included in a federal disaster declaration as U.S. President Joe Biden visit Florida on Saturday to survey the damage to the area. Those outside the main path of the storm also suffered from flooding. Sen. Rick Scott joined Biden, but Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was notably absent. (WUSF)
  4. Flavas Chi-Town Wings is a new chicken wing place now open in Tampa. The restaurant is located at 4819 E Busch Blvd. and is close to Temple Terrace and the Uptown Tampa area. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  5. Wild flamingos flooded the Tampa Bay area and beaches around the Sunshine State after Hurricane Idalia passed through. Residents in Pinellas County witnesses the flamingos in St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, and Ft. Desoto, according to Bay News 9. Experts believe they could be visitors from Cuba. (Bay News 9)
