Missing FL Teen Paddleboarders Found ‘Cold But Healthy’: Sheriff

Two 16-year-old girls who went missing Monday while paddleboarding in FL near Cedar Key were found safe, the sheriff's office said.

LEVY COUNTY, FL — Two 16-year-old girls who went missing while paddleboarding in Cedar Key have been found, authorities said.

The teens are “cold but otherwise healthy,” the Levy County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a social media post.

They were last seen Monday around 4 p.m. paddling toward Cedar Key from Atsena Otie. They shared a black-and-white paddleboard.

The LCSO Marine Unit, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the U.S. Coast Guard searched for them by water and air.
