Motorcyclist, 27, Critically Injured In Tampa Crash
A 27-year-old Tampa man suffered critical injuries in a Tuesday night motorcycle crash.

TAMPA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Tuesday night crash that left a 27-year-old Tampa man critically injured.
According to the agency, a PT Cruiser driven by Douglas Maine Jr., 49, of Spring Hill was stopped facing north on Riga Boulevard at the intersection with State Road 574 around 6:30 p.m. April 11. At that time, Joxel Lozada-Flores was riding a Suzuki east on State Road 574, approaching the Riga Boulevard intersection in the center lane.
Troopers say Maine turned east onto State Road 574 and “changed lanes into the path” of Lozada-Flores.

The two vehicles, a highway patrol report said, collided. Lozada-Flores was ejected from his bike.

Lozada-Flores was taken to a local hospital following the crash. He suffered critical injuries, the patrol noted.
The crash remains under investigation with charges pending the outcome.
