Neighbor Arrested In Tampa Shooting Death
A Tampa man faces second-degree murder charges after his neighbor's Saturday shooting death.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department has announced the arrest of a 57-year-old man in connection with his neighbor’s Saturday shooting death at the Yacht Club subdivision.
Police were called to the 5900 block of Bowen Daniel Drive around 10:15 p.m. Sept. 16 after shots were heard in the area. When officers arrived, they found Matthew J. Downey, 57, dead from gunshot wounds, an email from police department spokesman Steve Hegarty said.
Authorities say Downey’s neighbor, Brian Baker remained on the scene and was brought into custody after being identified as the alleged shooter.
