Neil Diamond Making Tampa Stop on World Tour
Neil Diamond's 'The 50 Year Anniversary World Tour' has a Tampa stop on the schedule.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area Neil Diamond fans might want to put a few dates on their calendars. The legendary crooner has announced a stop at Amalie Arena on his upcoming “50 Year Anniversary World Tour.”
Diamond’s tour is set to kick off April 7, 2017, in Fresno, California. Stops along the way include New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto and Chicago. He’ll bring his music to Tampa on April 23. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.
American Express card members will be able to make ticket purchases in advance of the general public. Sales to card members begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 and end at 10 p.m. Dec. 8.

“Neil Diamond is more than just a music icon,” said Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation Entertainment. Rapino’s company is producing the tour. “Live Nation is honored to be a part of bringing his 50 year anniversary tour to fans around the world.”
Diamond has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide during his career. He’s famed for such hits as “Song Sung Blue,” “Heartlight,” and “America,” among others. Diamond is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has charted with 37 singles on the Top 40. He is a Grammy Award-winning artist and also received the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award.

Fans who want to see Diamond live in Tampa will be able to purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Amalie Arena’s McDonald’s Ticket Office. Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com will also have seats available. Phone orders may be placed by calling 800-745-3000. Prices for seats have not yet been announced.
