New Sustainable Seafood Restaurant Added To Sparkman Wharf

Half Moon is bringing its signature Nashville Hot Fish and New Orleans-inspired po' boys to Sparkman Wharf's dining garden.

TAMPA, FL — A sustainably sourced Tampa-based seafood restaurant is scheduled to open its second Tampa location at Sparkman Wharf this month.

Half Moon Seafood Company, a new fast-casual restaurant, will join Water Street Tampa’s shipping container dining garden at Sparkman Wharf.

“We’re always on the lookout for great restaurants and local entrepreneurs who can make a positive impact on our community,” said Gabby Soriano, senior manager for Water Street Tampa developer Strategic Property Partners. “As Water Street Tampa solidifies its reputation as a top culinary destination in the region, we’re excited to work with another fan-favorite local restaurant and bring our neighborhood a fun new dining concept.”

Founded in 2020 at 11508 N 56th St., Temple Terrace, Half Moon emphasizes responsible, sustainable sourcing and creates made-to-order meals with fresh, house-made ingredients and sauces made in-house. The locally owned restaurant will offer a seafood- and chicken-focused menu with a variety of innovative sandwiches and plates.

The Sparkman Wharf menu will include Half Moon’s popular take on Nashville hot sandwiches, including its signature Nashville Hot Fish sandwich, which was named Tampa Magazine's Best Sandwich in 2021, and New Orleans-inspired po’ boys. Prices range from $10 to $20.

Other eateries and beverage providers at Sparkman Wharf, 615 Channelside Drive, include Fit Bowl Co. Superfood Bar, Gallito Taqueria, Dang Dude, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Jotoro Kitchen, LightHaus Beer Garden, Noble Rice, Splitsville, Edison's Swigamajig, Whatever Pops,BurgerFi, Shortwave Coffee, Hampton Chocolate Factory, Battery, Lunch Lady and JoDog Craft Hot Dogs.

Situated within Water Street Tampa, the 56-acre mixed-use development transforming downtown Tampa into a walkable neighborhood, Sparkman Wharf is a central community gathering place featuring a 1-acre park surrounded by ground-level retail and loft-style office space.

The park is home to an intimate dining garden featuring national and local restaurant concepts and programmed community events on the lawn.
