Pedestrian Dead in Hillsborough Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash
Breaking: A 30-year-old Tampa man was killed in a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash on Hillsborough Avenue.

TAMPA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a vehicle its troopers say struck and killed a man on Hillsborough Avenue Saturday morning and then took off from the scene.
According to the agency, Anthony Terry, 30, of Tampa was walking northbound across Hillsborough Avenue, west of Comfort Drive, around 12:49 a.m. Dec. 3. As Terry was crossing, an unknown vehicle heading eastbound hit him.
The driver took off from the scene, a highway patrol report said. Terry died from his injuries.

Shortly after the first collision, a second vehicle, driven by William Guerra, 48, of Brandon ran over Terry, “who then was laying deceased in the roadway,” the report said. The second motorist stopped.
Troopers are asking anyone with information about the first driver or the vehicle to call them at 813-631-4020. Tips that may be eligible for cash rewards may also be called into Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
