Pedestrian Seriously Injured By Driver Under Influence: Tampa Police
A 37-year-old man has been arrested after Tampa police said he caused a serious drunk driving accident and then fled the scene Monday night.

TAMPA, FL — A 37-year-old man has been arrested after Tampa police said he caused a serious drunk driving accident and then fled the scene Monday night.
At 7:10 p.m., officers were called to a crash at 3001 W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and provided life-saving measures to a pedestrian who'd been struck by a car. The pedestrian was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with significant injuries but is expected to survive.
Police tracked down and arrested Samuel Gavin Leppert and charged him with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries.
