1. Tampa-based multimedia art collective, Crab Devil, has been approved for the city of Tampa's Community Redevelopment Area Façade Grant for the East Tampa CRA. It intends to use the grant to construct awnings for the main building of The Peninsularium at 3800 North Nebraska Avenue. Funds will also go toward landscaping and hardscaping on the campus. 2. St. Petersburg's Sunken Gardens is hosting a Cinco de Mayo fiesta on Thursday, May 5 with light Mexican bites from CALI St. Pete, margaritas, Mexican beer, and a stellar view. Tickets are now available for the event. The fiesta is being organized by Sunken Gardens Forever Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on "preserving Sunken Gardens' legacy as a historic St. Pete landmark through education and philanthropy." 3. Tesla Motors has revealed plans in Pinellas County for a new 100,000 square foot service center. The company plans to renovate the Kane's Furniture Liquidation Center building on North 34th Street, with the new facility bringing dozens of tech jobs to the area. (Fox 13 Tampa)

4. Picasso and the Allure of the South, a rare exhibit featuring 79 paintings, drawings, and collages by world-famous Pablo Picasso, is now open at The Dali Museum. The exhibit was organized as a collaboration between The Dalí and the Musée national Picasso-Paris, which holds the most significant collection of the artist's works in the world. (That's So Tampa)

5. The KFC located at 2305 James L Redman Parkway in Plant City reads, "Our spicy chicken sandwich hits harder then Will Smith." The board is a nod to the Oscars slapping incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock. (WFLA)
