  1. Tampa International Airport (TPA)'s new flamingo art display has won an international award from the CODAWorx Awards. The flamingo, nicknamed "Phoebe," picked up a "People's Choice Awards" with more than 3,000 votes. The display is located on Level 3 of TPA's main terminal. (Tampa Patch)
  2. An investigation is underway after Tampa drivers fired gunshots on I-4 during a dangerous road rage incident, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Police said the drivers pointed guns at each other during the incident and then gunfire commenced. Witnesses are asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol by calling *FHP or 813-558-1800. (WTSP)
  3. The Florida Orchestra is bringing Pops in the Park to downtown Tampa's River Tower Park this autumn on Sunday, Oct. 15. Residents and visitors are invited to come and enjoy the music under the sunset. The concert has been running for decades. (That's So Tampa)
  4. MIDFLORIDA Esports Center is coming soon to Lakeland with 20 workstations with an opening planned by 2024. MIDFLORIDA Credit Union donated around $75,000 to help create the new esports center. Florida Polytechnic University interns will be working with players at MIDFLORIDA Esports Center, according to officials. (WFLA)
  5. Police are searching for a suspect who attempted a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 6298 W Waters Ave. in Tampa. The incident happened on Wednesday at 2:17 p.m. Police said the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money, which a teller refused to comply with.
