Police Search For Suspect In Fatal Shooting On Nebraska Avenue
Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting on Nebraska Avenue that left a man dead and a woman injured

TAMPA, FL - Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting on Nebraska Avenue that left a man dead and a woman injured, police said. The man was identified as Larry Cotton, 43; the injured woman is Frances Helms, 58, who is currently in stable condition.
Officers responded to 1806 North Nebraska Ave. about 7:11 p.m. on Saturday to investigate a shots fired call. They found Cotton and Helms suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Cotton later died.
Based on preliminary information, police say it appears that the shooting was not random. Detectives are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting or who has information about this case to contact Crime Stoppers.
