Running Store Chain Opens New Location In Downtown Tampa
A national chain dedicated to runners is opening a pop-up location in Water Street Tampa with hopes of making the move permanent.

TAMPA, FL — Fit2Run, a national chain dedicated to the running community, recently opened its newest location at Water Street Tampa, according to a news release.
The downtown Tampa location, a partnership with Strategic Property Partners, LLC, is the brand’s 34th store in Florida, according to its website.
It also has locations in Georgia, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico, as well as a store set to open in South Carolina in April. The company, founded in 2006, operates 45 stores total.

The Water Street Tampa location on East Cumberland Avenue is Fit2Run’s second in the city. Its first Tampa store is at International Plaza.
The 1,614-square-foot store will initially open as a pop-up location, “serving as an activation space to engage runners and introduce the brand to the community,” the news release said.

SPP and Fit2Run are working to establish a permanent location within Water Street Tampa.

The new store offers a curated selection of running and athletic footwear, apparel, accessories and specialty brands tailored to the local running community. This includes leading brand names, such as Lululemon, On, Brooks, Nike and ASICS, as well as several emerging brands making their Tampa debut, the news release said.
The location will also feature Fit2Run’s signature free videotaped gait analysis, offering runners personalized insights that will help them find footwear that matches their stride.
