Shoplifter Stuffed Speakers In Pants: Deputies

Hillsborough County deputies are looking for help identifying a man accused of taking a five-finger discount at a Tampa Walmart on Sunday.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for some help identifying a man accused of swiping wireless speakers from a Tampa Walmart on Sunday.

According to the agency, the man walked into the 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway Walmart around 1 p.m. June 18. Once inside, the man selected two JBL wireless Bluetooth speakers from a shelf and the proceeded to stuff them down his pants, authorities wrote in a Monday email to media.

With the ill-gotten gains safely stowed in his pants, deputies say the man walked out of the store and got into an older model, single-cab white Ford F-150. The bed of the truck, deputies noted, was “completely full of trash.”

The truck was last seen heading south on Dale Mabry “at a high rate of speed.”

The man deputies are looking for is described as being between 25 and 35 years old. He stands about 5-foot-7, has a medium build and a chinstrap beard. He was last seen wearing a black collared shirt and brown baseball cap.
