- The body of a missing man in Palm Harbor has been found using sonar technology decades of he disappeared without a trace. The Sunshine State Sonar Search Team provided closure for loves ones in the incident that goes back to 2006. The cause of the death for the man is still under investigation.(Palm Harbor Patch)
- A new cafe and music venue has opened in Tampa called 1920 Ybor City at 1920 E 8th Ave. The new location is opening just in time for Gasparilla Music Festival and previously hosted pre-party events for the annual gathering. (That's So Tampa)
- The Tampa Bay Lightning suffered a 4-3 loss on Saturday night to Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto now holds a 2-1 edge in the series. The Bolts will face off against the Maple Leafs again tonight at 7:30 p.m. EST. (Deadspin)
- Fairgrounds St.Pete is opening a new art installation on Friday, April 27 called "Shrimpfinity." Tickets are now on-sale online for the spring-themed display. The art was created by the Milagros Collective. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
- Hundreds of people in Tampa joined together to volunteer on Earth Day across the bay area. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful led the drive to beautify the Tampa area and regularly holds clean-up efforts around the Tampa area. The non-profit is hosting the Great American Cleanup through June. (Bay News 9)
