Spring Hill Man Pleads Guilty To Robbing SunTrust Bank In Tampa
John Charles Anderson, 39, of Spring Hill, pleaded guilty to robbing the SunTrust Bank in Tampa with a BB pistol.
TAMPA, FL — John Charles Anderson, 39, of Spring Hill, pleaded guilty to robbing the SunTrust Bank in Tampa with a BB pistol.
Anderson faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
According to court records, on Jan. 14, 2022, Anderson entered the SunTrust Bank at 12902 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa armed with a Crossman BB pistol and demanded money from the teller.

The pistol appeared to be a functioning handgun, and the teller complied with Anderson’s demand and gave him $941 in cash from the cash drawer.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
