- The body of missing two-year-old Taylen Mosley was found on Friday. Mosley was found dead and his father, Thomas Mosley, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder as part of the case, according to police. The body of the boy was found in an alligator’s mouth near Dell Holmes Park. (St. Pete Patch)
- Progressives are targeting Tampa City Councilmember Guido Maniscalco over his position on police accountability, amid government investigations in the Tampa Police Department. Maniscalo is oppossed to allowing the Citizen's Review Board to have its own subpoena power and an independent attorney from the city, which employs police. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)
- A rooftop collapse during a storm at a show held Friday by a Tampa metal band in Illinois has killed one person and injured 28 people. The show of the band called "Morbid Angel" was held at Apollo Theater in Belvidere, Illinois. Illinois Gov. J.B Pritzker tweeted that the government is working to help those impacted with state resources. (WFLA)
- A 52-year-old Riverview man died after being hit by a car when attempting to cross US-301 Highway near Rhodine Road. The man was taken to the hospital before passing away from the injuries. (Fox 13 Tampa)
- Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister and wife Nikki DeBartolo are selling their South Tampa mansion for $15.5 million, according to CL Tampa Bay. The home was purchased in 2010 by the couple in 2010 for $5,150,000. The asking price is more than any home sold in the Tampa area over the last year and would fall right behind the home of Derek Jeter, if sold. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
