Victim Seriously Injured In FL Stabbing, Suspect Arrested
A 22-year-old man was arrested for stabbing another person during an altercation earlier this month, the Hillsborough County sheriff said.
TAMPA, FL — A 22-year-old man was arrested for stabbing and seriously injuring another person in Tampa earlier this month, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
Curtez Frazier was charged with attempted murder in the first degree with a weapon charge.
Deputies responded to a call about an altercation in the 1200 block of University Club Drive on May 9 just after 7 p.m.

At the scene, they found the victim with stab wounds to their upper battery, which caused great bodily harm, the sheriff’s office said. The victim was brought to the hospital with serious injuries.

After investigators identified Frazier as the suspect, he was taken into custody without incident on Tuesday.
"This was a violent and deliberate act, and there is no place for that in our community," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "Thanks to the determined efforts of our deputies and detectives, a dangerous individual is now behind bars and facing justice."
Frazier was recently released from the Florida Department of Corrections on Feb. 6 after serving three years for charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
