- Florida-based PetMed Express is seeking the company's first "chief barketing officer." The company is now accepting submissions for its #petmedsCBO2023 contest on Instagram. The winning pet owner will receive $10,000 as well as a number of other perks. (Florida Patch)
- A Florida man has been charged by authorities in the killing and dismemberment of an Uber Eats delivery driver. Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco called the incident a "horrific crime of passion" and the accused man, "demonic." The incident happened last Wednesday in Holiday, Florida. (WPTV, ABC Action News)
- Sweet Mama’s is a new ice cream shop now open in downtown Tampa at 905 N Tampa St. The small business is minority-owned and woman-owned. The shop also sells cookies, brownies, milkshakes, and more. (That's So Tampa)
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is offering active-duty and military veterans' free admission to the theme park this summer. The theme park said military members can also bring up to three guests at no extra charge from now until July 9. Busch Gardens said the promotion is part of its “Waves of Honor” program. (WFLA)
- A new tiny home community is opening in Tampa this weekend called Escape Tampa Bay The Oaks. Those qualified can pay as little as $650 a month for a tiny home in addition to a monthly lot rental fee which varies. The community is located in Thonotosassa. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
