The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County has issued a swim advisory for Ben T. Davis Beach due to enteric bacteria.

TAMPA, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County has issued a swim advisory for Ben T. Davis Beach on the Courtney Campbell Causeway due to high levels of enteric bacteria in the water, an indication of fecal pollution.
At this time, there is a potential health risk to the bathing public, and swimming is not recommended.
Enteric bacteria (enterococci) that normally inhabit the intestinal tract of humans and animals may cause human disease, infections or rashes.
