Tampa Bay Lightning Girls To Host 1st Summer Camp

The inaugural event will focus on dance, fitness and a healthy lifestyle for girls.

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Lightning Girls have been a fixture of the franchise since its first season. Now, the hockey team’s cheerleaders and ambassadors will embark on a new challenge: Summer camp counselors.

For the first time in its 25 years, the Lightning Girls will host a summer camp for girls ages 6 to 12 from July 17-21 at Amalie Arena. The camp will focus primarily on dance, fitness and building a healthy lifestyle, along with additional activities.

The Lightning Girls Summer Camp will allow young girls to work alongside members of the Lightning Girls squad at the arena. Campers will participate in dance instruction, arts and crafts, yoga and more. Participants will also have the opportunity for performances, autograph sessions with the Lightning Girls, photo sessions and guest appearances.
