  1. A new affordable housing complex opened on Friday in Hillsborough County as leaders aim to tackle a stubborn housing crisis. The new complex is called Uptown Sky and features 61 apartment rental units with all units already rented at below-market rates for those who met special requirements. Uptown Sky is located at 13635 N. 12th St. in Tampa. (Tampa Patch)
  2. Film productions in Tampa are not expected to be impacted by the SAG-AFTRA strike because Florida does not offer financial incentives to film in the Sunshine State, according to film and television producer David Yates. (Bay News 9)
  3. Tampa International Airport (TPA) is offering two new nonstop routes to Canada starting this fall with discount carrier, Lynx Air. Flights will be available to Toronto and Montreal with tickets as low as $99 with taxes and fees and discounts now available. The first trips will begin on Nov. 16 and 17. (ABC Action News)
  4. Ybor City's Boneyard bar is closing its doors this weekend, joining a number of other local businesses recently shutting down in the area. The announcement was made on social media via Instagram. No reason was provided for the closure. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  5. The Tampa Bay area has been named a top relocation destination by PODS. Tampa Bay came in at No. 9 on the list of city metros where people are moving to, last year it was No. 4. However, Sarasota came in at No. 2. (WFLA)
