Tampa Bay Workweek Weather: Cooler Temps in the Forecast
Find out what's in store in Tampa Bay area weather as the workweek continues.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents ready for daytime temperatures in the 70s may have their wishes materialize over the coming week. A cold front set to move into the area on Friday is expected to bring cooler conditions to the region.
Before that cold front arrives, however, the region is in store for a fairly warm start to the week. According to the National Weather Service, Monday should kick things off with a high in the upper 80s in much of the Tampa Bay area. A partly cloudy night with a low in the upper 60s is forecast. Rain chances aren’t in the cards in much of the region on Monday, but places like Lakeland and Plant City could see a shower or two.
Tuesday is expected to kick off with sunny conditions and a daytime high back in the upper 80s. Overnight, mostly clear skies are expected with a low once again in the upper 60s.

Rain chances are possible heading into Friday with a 20 percent chance forecast in the evening hours. Prior to that, however, a sunny day is expected with a high in the low-to-mid 80s.
Saturday kicks off with a 20 percent chance of showers, but sunny conditions are expected otherwise. The day’s high is expected to only reach the upper 70s with a cool overnight low in the lower 60s.
While severe weather isn’t in the forecast for the week ahead, the weather service warns conditions in Gulf waters could be hazardous for small craft operators. Winds are expected to increase to 15 to 20 knots in the nighttime hours through the middle of week.
When that strong cold front moves through late Friday, forecasters say, “a period of cautionary or advisory level winds will be possible through the first half of the weekend.”
