Tampa Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a 57-year-old bicyclist dead on North 19th Street and East 21st Avenue.

Police said they were called at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of East 21st Avenue after a 57-year-old man on a bicycle was struck by a car.

Tampa Fire Rescue performed life-saving measures and took the bicyclist to the hospital but he died at the hospital.

Detectives are reviewing evidence found at the scene to find the driver who was driving a dark-colored sedan.
