1. Tampa police are investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl found in a Tampa motel room Monday. It happened at the Sunshine Motel at 4712 East Hillsborough Avenue, with police responding at around 2 a.m. (Tampa Patch)
2. Tampa home prices rose 29% in March 2022, while inventory fell by 25%, continuing a hot real estate market for the home of the Cuban sandwich. Prices jumped from a median sale of $275,000 to $355,000, or 29.1% higher in just one year, according to RE/MAX. (WFLA)
3. Management at East Tampa's Silver Oaks Apartments is now reportedly threatening tenants with eviction after they complained to the media about black mold, collapsing ceilings, regular flooding due to plumbing problems, and rodent issues...among other issues. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
4. KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot is coming soon to the Tyrone Square Mall. The restaurant will take over the former Jos. A. Bank space next to Grand Hacienda. The franchise boasts six locations across the United States with at least 45 more restaurants coming soon. (St. Pete Rising)
5. An investigation is underway after a deputy-involved shooting Monday afternoon. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the shooting took place in Brandon near Heaven Sent Daycare Center; however, they say no children or staff were involved or injured in the shooting. Police say suspect was shot and "has non-life-threatening injuries." (ABC Action News)
