Tampa Homicide Under Investigation

TAMPA, FL — A Thursday evening call about a man down on Tampa’s Nebraska Avenue has sparked a homicide investigation.

According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the call around 7 p.m. Nov. 10. When they arrived in the 2300 block of North Nebraska Avenue, they found an adult male unconscious. Police say the man had upper body trauma, but did not elaborate about the possible cause.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Tampa General Hospital. He, however, died later from his injuries.

Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, an email from the agency said. No motive or suspects have been identified.
