Tampa Homicide Victim Identified

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating the death of a 39-year-old man whose body was found early Thursday morning.

According to the agency, officers responded to the 5100 block of North 21st Street after receiving a 911 call around 12:42 a.m. April 27. When they arrived, they found Curtis Eugene Thomas dead.

Police say Thomas “suffered severe trauma to his upper body.”

Further details about the case are not yet available. Police have not yet released suspect information.
