Tampa House Fire Kills 1 Person

TAMPA, FL — One person is dead following a house fire in the 10000 block of North Dixon Avenue in Sulphur Springs Tuesday.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the house fire around and found a single-story home, 80 percent involved, with heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

Fire rescue had the fire under control within 15 minutes. When firefighters searched the home, they found one person who had died of fire-related injuries.

Investigators from Tampa Fire Rescue, the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Tampa Police Department are investigating the fire's cause.
