Tampa Man Accused Of Raping Spa Employee: Police
The man is accused of entering the spa, demanding money and then sexually assaulting the employee in a treatment room
TAMPA, FL - A 44-year-old Tampa man was arrested Wednesday for sexually assaulting an employee of Zen Therapy Spa on North Lois Avenue. Bruce Darnell Wilson is accused of entering the spa about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, demanding money and then sexually assaulting the employee in a treatment room, according to police.
After entering the business at 4610 N. Lois Ave., Wilson distracted the employee while she was behind the counter, then jumped over the counter, grabbing the victim. The victim believed Wilson to be armed with some type of knife and he demanded money, police said. Wilson then grabbed the victim by the hair, pulling the victim into another room where he committed sexual battery, according to police.
The victim provided a detailed description and surveillance footage was obtained. Officers and forensics units were able to pull fingerprints from the countertop and identify Wilson, police said. Wilson arrested at his home and charged with armed robbery and armed sexual battery.
