Tampa Man Missing, Feared Suicidal

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a missing 56-year-old Tampa man.

TAMPA, FL — Daniel Webster II sent his sister a letter on June 16. The 56-year-old Tampa man hasn’t been seen since. Based on the information contained in that letter, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies have issued a plea for help to find him.

“It is believed that Daniel Webster II is suicidal,” a Wednesday morning email from the sheriff's office said.

Deputies say they checked on Webster’s last known address near East Fletcher Avenue and found it empty. Investigation into his whereabouts also led to the discovery that Webster had donated his vehicle, gave up his apartment and had his cellphone turned off, the email said.

Webster stands about 6 feet tall and weighs an estimated 200 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200.
