  1. Tampa Police is searching for two suspects who police said stole construction tools from KarmaNest Tampa Hotel at 3001 University Center Drive. Security camera footage captured the incident on video. Anyone with information into the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 800-873-TIPS. (Tampa Patch)
  2. A Tampa neo-Nazi was arrested by the FBI after plotting with an accomplice to blow up the power grid in Maryland and violating parole. The man, who was on probation, has been labeled a domestic terrorist by the FBI. Investigators said they planned to unleash sniper attacks on several substations in Maryland. (Fox 13)
  3. The Tampa Firefighters Union and City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor are at odds over how many fire stations are needed in the city. Nick Stocco, the president of the union, said at least 17 stations are needed. Castor said that just because Tampa is growing, that does not mean the city need more fire stations. (WFLA)
  4. Tampa women are working to bring minority business owners more exposure. Black Business Bus Tour is helping Black-owned small businesses get exposure. The event happens quarterly and brings awareness to businesses. Saturday Shoppes is also drawing attention to small businesses as well as training and community events. (WUSF)
  5. The historic Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa is bringing back its September Sing-along Sundays this upcoming month. The films being screened include "The Greatest Showman," "The Little Mermaid," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Sound of Music." All screenings will be held at 3 p.m. (Osprey Observer)
