Tampa PD Names New Director Of Communications
Crystal Clark will serve as the head of the Public Information Office.

The Tampa Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Crystal Clark as Director of Communications and Public Affairs, where she will serve as the head of the Public Information Office and primary contact for directing Tampa PD's media relations.

Clark joins Tampa PD from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where she served as the Chief Communications Officer for more than four years. Prior to the Sheriff's Office, Clark spent nearly a decade as a television news journalist, working as a news reporter, anchor and producer at numerous stations throughout the country, including Fox 13 Tampa Bay.
"We are thrilled to welcome Crystal Clark to our command staff," said Chief Mary O'Connor. "She has readily demonstrated the ability to provide vision, direction, and sound leadership. We are confident that her background will add value to our department and enhance our ability to share the meaningful impact officers are having on the community we serve."
