Taco Brand Expands With Second FL Restaurant

TAMPA, FL — Taco Dirty is expanding with a new restaurant in South Tampa, according to a news release.

The eatery, a Ciccio Restaurant Group fast-casual brand, has operated 2221 W. Platt Street for nearly seven years.

The new location is opening Thursday in Riverview at 10460 Stelling Drive, just off Big Bend Road and U.S. 301.

“Taco Dirty is our reimagining of a neighborhood Mexican cantina with south of the border beverages, tacos, nachos, burritos and our famous bowls,” Ciccio said. “Our menu is crafted to accommodate the many dietary lifestyles of our guests, including vegans and vegetarians, along with gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives.”

The brand also offers hormone- and antibiotic-free meat options, and uses 100 percent olive oil for all grilling and roasting.

From May 29 through June 12, Taco Dirty is offering discounts to “local heroes,” the news release said.

First responders, active-duty military, veterans, teachers and health care workers are offered a 25 percent discount during this timeframe.

Ciccio Restaurant Group (CRG), founded more than 30 years ago in New York City, is one of Tampa Bay’s largest independent hospitality groups.

The company currently operates 30 different restaurants under the Cali, Daily Eats, Fresh Kitchen, Green Lemon, Jay Luigi, Soulful, Sweet Soul, Taco Dirty, and Water + Flour brand names. The Ciccio portfolio also includes the successful South Tampa and California wellness and fitness boutique, CAMP.

Ciccio is in the process of expanding Jay Luigi Pizzeria, and a smaller high-minded version of Green Lemon. Also coming soon — a CRG bakery and a combined version of Sweet Soul & Soulful under one roof.
