1. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) is investigating recent allegations of domestic violence made on social media against its detective Daniel Leyden. Authorities say Leyden killed Deputy Abigail Bieber last Saturday in St. Augustine and then killed himself. (ABC Action News)

2. The Tampa City Council reversed course on Thursday and shot down a proposal to include a tenant’s bill of rights and income anti-discrimination language in the city's housing laws, a major blow to housing rights activists as spiking rent price squeeze local residents. The initial proposal reading received a 6-1 vote, while the second vote was 4-2. Tampa Council members Joe Citro, John Dingfelder, Bill Carlson and Charlie Miranda voted no, with Luis Viera missing the vote. (Florida Politics)

5. A Gulfport home will be the first in the nation sold as a non-fungible token (NFT) using cryptocurrency and blockchain technology on Tuesday, according to owner Leslie Alessandra. She says one benefit is that the buyer can remain mostly anonymous. So far, 2,000 people have signed up for the auction. (Bay News 9)
