TECO Peoples Gas Upgrading Equipment in Hyde Park
The work will continue through the end of 2013, officials say.

Crews from TECO Peoples Gas is upgrading equipment in the Hyde Park area as part of a 10-year replacement program.
About 8.5 miles of bare steel and cast iron pipes will be replaced during the process, which is designed to improve safety and reliability, according to a news release from TECO spokeswoman Cherie Jacobs.
The work - which involves underground installation of pipe - has already begun, and will be completed by year's end. In some areas, excavation will be required, and the lanes of some streets may have to be closed, the release said.
