Temple Terrace Man Killed In Crash At Selmon Expressway, I-75

TAMPA, FL — A 50-year-old Temple Terrace man has died after being thrown from his Toyota SUV on Interstate 75 Thursday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 11:40 a.m., a Land Rover driven by a 56-year-old Clearwater woman was heading east on the entrance ramp from the Selmon Expressway to northbound I-75.

The Toyota SUV was traveling on the I-75 access ramp to State Road 60.

According to troopers, the Land Rover lost control at a curve in the road and entered the access ramp, colliding with the passenger side of the Toyota SUV.

Both vehicles traveled through the grass shoulder and came to rest in the northbound lanes of I-75 where the Toyota overturned and threw the driver from the SUV.

He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the Land Rover was not injured.
